(Springfield, VA) Interstate Worldwide Relocation will ship award-winning Odyssey of the Mind championship projects to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at the University of Colorado for two groups of local students. On Wednesday, May 1, Interstate will pack and prepare to ship the State Champion Odyssey of the Mind projects for the eighth grade team from Mark Twain Middle School in Alexandria, Virginia, and the ninth-grade team from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia.
Interstate team members will use even more care than usual in packing these award-winning projects, as they are not nearly as sturdy as the furniture and household goods that they're used to packing. These projects are made from such diverse components as balsa wood, toilet paper holders, popsicle sticks and shoeboxes. Interstate is taking care of the transportation for the projects with their trademarked Top Hat Service, while the students continue to raise funds to help finance their trips to Colorado.
For more information about Lake Braddock's award winning Odyssey of the Mind team, contact Principal Nancy Rottenecker at 703.426.1000. For information about Twain's team of champions, contact Principal Carol Robinson at 703.313.3700.
Established in 1943, the Interstate family of companies today comprises a worldwide group of relocation management, transportation and logistic entities that will facilitate more than 20,000 relocations over the next year.
