VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND SALES


SUMMARY
This position represents the senior management position responsible for managing the business development and marketing initiatives for the organization. The purpose of this position is to plan and implement sales initiatives in order to meet company targets for growth, retention and profitability, in the business markets and service lines assigned, and to contribute to the senior management of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Plan and implement new sales development initiatives directly and through company resources in an effective and aggressive manner, as well as participate in the management of customer retention programs of new customers. Ideally, this position will win early customers with limited support.

Plan and manage sales organization resources according to agreed budgets.

Responsible for solicitation, evaluation, and execution of RFI's, RFP's RFQ's etc. in collaboration with the marketing department and business unit managers, as well as managing contract negotiation in collaboration with other key stakeholders and legal counsel as required.

Serve as a key member of the senior management team in contributing to the company’s strategic direction and formulation of policy.

Spearhead business development initiatives and corresponding marketing communications that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.

Be the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the business development and marketing groups, through personal example, and to establish the style and approach which will characterize the Company’s dealings with customers and the marketplace.

Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct and indirect reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law, as well as building and co-managing business development teams across multiple business initiatives.

Maintain administration and relevant management and financial information reporting and planning systems and management of financial information.

Contribute to new service and product development planning and management.

Actively engage in self-development and continuing personal development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

MARKETING
Define the appropriate marketing organization that aligns with the company’s strategic direction and goals.

Be a role model for the company culture.

Lead the marketing strategic planning including corporate positioning and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans.

Oversee the marketing communications department which is responsible for; Business Development support, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars, events, collateral materials, analyst and market research management; and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis.

Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and for lead tracking and management.

Work closely with business unit leaders to develop and manage partner strategies and programs.

BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related degree, or 15 years experience in related fields across several functional areas including sales, marketing, customer service, administration and finance.

TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Minimum requirement in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint of Beginner Level (Intermediate Level or higher preferred). Minimum keyboard skill level of 40 wpm. Must be proficient in the Internet and email. Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, eg., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc. Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face, verbal and written communicator.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Able to communicate and motivate effectively via oral conversation and written media. Must be a very competent writer and evaluator of business letters and proposals. Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including market sector targeting, product offer development, feature-benefits-solutions selling, cost per response, cost per conversion, etc. Appreciates need for consistency within company's communications, branding and marketing mix.


Vice President / General Manager – Terminal Services


SUMMARY:
In this position, you will partner with the Executive Management Group to develop the strategic plan for terminal operations as well as its implementation/execution. This position is accountable for the profit/loss management and overall day to day activities of Consumer Sales and local branch operations. You will provide leadership, direction and guidance specifically for the Administrative, Operations and Sales efforts to ensure the companies’ goals are met and optimum use of resources is achieved.

Education and/or Experience

College degree (4 years) or equivalent in transportation, logistics, business administration, economics or related degree.
Minimum of 8-10 years of hands on experience in a corporate business environment, preferably a service industry business.
Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory/managerial experience with proven successful results.
Must have the ability to withstand pressure inherent in time-sensitive customer service requirements.
Must have decision making abilities and time management skills. Minimum requirement in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint of Intermediate Level (or higher preferred). Minimum keyboard skill level of 40 wpm.

Supervisor, Long Distance Dispatch


SUMMARY:
This position will be in direct control of the daily functions of the long distance dispatch group. They will be responsible for all day-to-day dispatch operations to include planning, and dispatching of driver fleet. They will answer questions and resolve issues between the service providers and drivers as needed and appropriate.

Logistics Business Development Manager

 
SUMMARY
Professionally represents the company in effectively selling the services of the organization to prospective organizations, agencies, etc. at a profit and achieving sales revenue goals and objectives as established by the Division Manager or Company Officer. Supports the policies and procedures of the company. Assures compliance with all applicable Federal and State Laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Solicits companies for ongoing opportunities for customer markets assigned as applicable (household goods, relocation management, logistics, etc.). Follows a defined account development and management process. Performs a thorough needs analysis and identifies services that meet a company’s specific needs.

Networks and markets company services within the defined target markets. Creates opportunities for future business. Develops and maintains relationships with decision makers.

Prepares professional and comprehensive proposals to prospective customers. Personally presents proposals and contracts to prospective customers. Completes sales paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion. Documents all proposals/estimates, and communicates customer needs and expectations to Move Coordinators and other applicable parties.

Maintains consistent follow-up on pending proposals and maintains information in CRM software in addition to all sales and marketing activities. Maintains updated account profiles to assure proper billing.

Prepares necessary documentation in order to submit work orders for registration.

Responds and follows-up on customer questions and issues prior to, during, and after a move. Assists in resolution of billing, claims, or collection issues as requested.

Achieves performance standards (monthly, quarterly, annually) as mutually established with Division Manager.

Maintains in advance and updates calendar of appointments activities, etc. in CRM software. Regularly monitors e-mail and voice mail for customer and company communications.

Submits required sales and expense reports accurately and timely.

Attends all sales meetings, conferences, training seminars, and trade shows as required.

International Coordinator


SUMMARY
Coordinates traffic and documentation activities for international commercial, national account, and GSA shipments of household goods, air baggage (UAB), and automobiles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Registers all shipments into the IT system within 24 hours of receipt from client

Provides initiation call to transferee/assignee within 24 hours of receipt of orders from client

Prepares and sends Transferee/Assignee initiation packet/documentation electronically or by mail/courier

Assigns origin agent and transmits initiation forms and all pertinent details generated from initiation call with transferee/assignee to origin agent in order to arrange survey date.

Tracks Survey dates and ensures that survey details are received within 24 hours of survey completion.

Prepares rate quotations for door-to-door, door-to-port, origin, or destination moves when requested by an account, salesperson, service provider, or private individual within two days of receipt.

Notifies client of exceptions to policy and requests authorizations.

Negotiates final rates to be applied to origin packing, line haul ocean/air freight, and destination delivery services to be performed for each shipment.

Arranges third party services as required.

Arranges air and ocean carrier bookings based upon pack and load dates with origin agent.

Schedules local pick up/delivery of containers or airfreight shipments to the Port or airport of loading.

Collects documentation from Origin agent, drayage/local carrier and air/ocean carrier upon 48 hours of departure from origin country.

Transmits all documentation to Assigned destination service providers along with transferee/assignee contact information to begin customs entry process and tracking of shipment arrival in host country.

Audits and traces location of all shipments daily throughout the transportation process.

Reviews all reports including port report daily.

Provides timely information reports to service members, commercial customers, service providers, transportation officers, and co-workers daily via fax, email, or phone.

Updates IT System daily with the date documentation is received.

Communicates via phone, fax, and email as required.

Audits and approves vendor invoices within five days of receipt or billing date.

Manages vendor invoice exceptions direct with vendor.

Prepares reports and correspondence as required.

Prepares files for all shipment for billing purposes by the Billing Department to include obtaining necessary documents.

Assesses and solves problems that may arise from the above.

Solicits transportation services or storage business from homeowners (consumers) and business establishments and estimates packing, crating, moving, and storage costs by performing the following duties.  This includes interstate; intrastate; local relocations; and storage transactions, limited to the movement and storage of used household goods.

Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
